Earth Day Sustainable Product of the Year Award

ITU AbsorbTech was recognized with a 2016 Earth Day Sustainable Product Award for development of the SorbIts® Quilted Pad.  The award was presented by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC), the state’s chamber of commerce and largest business association in recognition of ITU AbsorbTech’s commitment and improvements in the areas of sustainability, innovative technology and environmental stewardship.

“These companies are industry leaders in keeping our environment clean and creating cutting edge innovations,” said Lucas Vebber, WMC director of environmental and energy policy. “In Wisconsin, we are very fortunate to have so many companies that go above and beyond the environmental regulatory standards and protect our environment for our state.”

Winners were selected by an independent judging panel with representatives from industry, environmental groups, the Department of Natural Resources, and the University of Wisconsin.
