HACCP Food Processing Uniforms

For Food Processing, Packaging & Industrial Safety

A HACCP uniform program is an important part of a comprehensive HACCP plan.

HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. This quality control method identifies potential issues in food handling during processing and packaging. HACCP focuses on prevention and control.

ITU AbsorbTech has adopted the HACCP system for uniform handling and processing. Our program helps ensure hygienically clean uniforms for food manufacturing and packaging facilities.

Why HACCP for Uniforms

HACCP is a widely used management system for food safety. It’s an effective and rational means of assuring food safety from harvest to consumption.
A comprehensive seven-step process (pictured left) helps ensure a preventative system of hazard control.
While HACCP uniforms are just one part of your HACCP system, they are a very important part!

Audits and Testing

Our HACCP uniform program is independently audited by EcoLab, a global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies.

In addition, we utilize two different methods of bacterial testing to ensure an acceptable level of safety and cleanliness during processing and transportation of garments:

  • Test Method 1 – ATP detection – Administered by ITU AbsorbTech on equipment and garments
  • Test Method 2 – TAMC testing – Administered by Ecolab on garments
