Previously, we were purchasing and disposing of disposable absorbent matting as needed. Challenges included appearance of soiled matting as well as cost to purchase and dispose of material plus consumption of natural resources.

What we like about ITU AbsorbTech’s program is the wonderful customer care and service. Reductions in product purchased as well as product disposal has helped us to meet and ISO14001 goal and contributed to our recycling achievements.

Rob is hard working and friendly. Production technicians are comfortable talking to him and are continuously asking him to bring more stuff. He’s very knowledgeable about ITU AbsorbTech’s products and suggests solutions to issues he sees on the floor. He also helps me get billing issues resolved. HE ROCKS!

The program helped reduce slips and falls in a very oily area of the plant (press department) with SorbIts® and SlipBusters®. In just six pick-ups we recycled 1859 lbs. of product. In addition, the number of barrels of waste oil absorbent was reduced by 70% for the first quarter this year compared to last year. We also reduced the number of linear feet of absorbent purchased by 42% in the same time period.

I would recommend at a minimum to conduct trials of the program, they are free and essential to get buy-in from floor associates and management.
