Tee Up Golf Outing Raises $124,000 for T1D Research

On September 17, 2018, ITU AbsorbTech hosted Tee Up Fore the Cure’s 12th Anniversary Celebration at Grand National Resort in Lake Geneva, WI.
This year’s celebrity guest was NFL Hall of Famer, Dave Robinson. Each foursome golfed with a celebrity from a variety of sports including football, soccer, basketball, hockey and sports media.
Over 240 golfers and celebrity guests enjoyed a round of golf followed by presentations from Denise McGee, Dave Robinson, and Andrew McLaughlin, grandson of former Brewers Pitcher, Ken Sanders, who told his Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) story. Festivities also included raffles, a silent auction and a live auction with a professional auctioneer.
The total amount raised was a record-breaking $124,000! Donations stay local and will be delivered to JDRF Southeastern Wisconsin and the Max McGee Center.
