ITU AbsorbTech Expands Regional Footprint Through Strategic Acquisition of Industrial Absorbent Solutions

May 12, 2025 – We are pleased to announce that ITU AbsorbTech, Inc., the leading provider of launderable, reusable oil absorbents under the SorbIts® brand, has acquired Industrial Absorbent Solutions (IAS), a respected service provider based in Lancaster, SC. This strategic acquisition strengthens ITU AbsorbTech’s presence in the southeastern market and enhances the company’s ability to deliver SorbIts®, Ultra™ Shop Towels, and other managed service programs across the region.

With 20 years in the business, IAS has earned a strong reputation for quality and customer loyalty. This acquisition reflects a shared commitment to service excellence and a respectful relationship between the two organizations.

ITU AbsorbTech will begin servicing IAS customers effective May 12, 2025, out of its Piedmont, SC processing facility and newly established service center in Lancaster. Customers can expect uninterrupted service and will soon be introduced to ITU AbsorbTech’s SorbIts®, a trusted brand recognized for its quality, transparency, innovative waste reduction reporting, comprehensive training and support, and a team committed to Genuine Service Excellence.
