ITU AbsorbTech has been a consecutive finalist since 2010 and has won the Corporate Safety Award six of those years, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to safety.
“Winning the Corporate Safety Award is an honor,” says Jerry Chapman, Corporate Safety Manager at ITU AbsorbTech. “It is a testament to the efforts from each and every teammate working safely during every moment of 2021.”
ITU AbsorbTech strives to cultivate a workplace where employees feel safe and rewarded. As a core business tenet, safety is part of the company’s culture, training, and ongoing mission to achieve zero incidents.
“This is cherished by us not just in Wisconsin for our Wisconsin Operations,” says Jim Leef, President, and CEO at ITU AbsorbTech. “We had fabulous years in all our facilities, so this is a companywide honor.”
ITU AbsorbTech promotes a culture of safety through activities like vehicle safety checks, morning stretches, monthly AbsorbU training, 6S events, and annual safety promotion. These efforts, combined with a commitment from every employee to be safe every day, have helped the company achieve another exceptional safety record last year.
“It is also not just for our people – it is for our vehicle record. We are thrilled no people missed time in 2021 due to no injuries and that no vehicles did either. On behalf of our leadership team, I’d like to congratulate our employees on a job well done. I’d also like to congratulate the other 2021 Safety Award Winners. It’s a true honor to be recognized alongside such a great group of Wisconsin businesses.”
The Wisconsin Safety Council is the state’s leading workplace safety training and education provider. Winners were selected by an independent panel of judges who are safety, health, and insurance professionals.
