Training Spotlight: Book club inspires learning and leadership in the workplace

ITU AbsorbTech recently rolled out a new book club as part of their Leadership Excellence and Development (LEAD) training program. LEAD is a program designed for emerging leaders in the company.
“Book clubs in the workplace are a great way to encourage learning! They can provide new insight and help people apply what they learned through discussion,” says Barb, facilitator for the club.
The first book in the program was “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect” by John Maxwell. Team members read the book independently and then gathered to share insights and applications in the workplace.
The LEAD program is just one of many learning opportunities offered through the company’s award-winning training program, AbsorbU. The company believes strongly in hiring exceptional people and investing heavily in their success. AbsorbU is one of the ways they accomplish this.
“The book club was a great success, and I look forward to adding more books and additional participants to the program.”
